These are exactly what I was looking for. The size of both the pages and lines are perfect for me, and I can fit a whole day of journaling on one page! The design is simple and minimalist, and there aren't ANY annoying markings on the pages!!! Even though it's not a spiral notebook, the pages stay open effortlessly - I was worried about that! The quality is astonishing for the price. 20/10 for sure!

Great notebook.I recently started using it as a bullet journal at work. I've been using it for two months now and it's held up nicely and I am pretty abusive with my journals. The paper quality is superior to moleskin in that my fountain pen doesn't bleed or show through. I don't understand all the fuss around moleskin journals.I would like to see Northbook come out with journal that has ribbon page market, numbered pages, elastic holder, and back pocket like a leuchtturm. (Nice to haves).I will definitely be getting another soon because I like to support makers of quality products.

and is the perfect size and number of sheets for a journal for ...

The market has kind of exploded for notebook/journals. Northbooks are well priced, and is the perfect size and number of sheets for a journal for a trip or excursion. As a fountain pen user, I care about the quality of paper a lot. This paper is definitely thicker than Moleskines, but not has thick as those found in Black and Red or other 100gsm type notebooks. The paper is also "toothier" than the Black and Reds, Rhodias, and other books with thick, and very smooth paper. Smooth paper generally takes longer to dry depending on ink and pen used. I actually like the paper in the Northbooks and using a Pilot 78G Broad (aka stub) nib with Noodler's Ink Bernanke Black, has no feathering or bleed through to the other side of the paper. NOTE: Other wetter pens, and slower drying inks may have different results.

Minimalist Design. Maximum Quality.

Our books are printed with recycled paper that resists feathering, ghosting, and bleeding without any extra bulk. Our paper is thick, smooth, and acid-free. The soft cream color makes for an elegant, easy to read backdrop for journaling, sketching, creating to do lists, shopping lists, or simple weekly planning.
