2nd Edition Northbooks are Now on Sale

2nd Edition Northbooks are Now on Sale

We love our original Northbooks. And we knew we would improve and expand upon them over time.

In September we've started selling our Northbooks 2nd Edition notebooks. Here's what we improved and changed from our 1st Edition Northbooks.

We've updated our covers and cover paper. The new cover paper is a darker shade of kraft. It shows less scarring from daily use. It's made from more recycled content—50% (our originals were 30%). We think this paper shows off its beautiful texture even better than our previous paper did.

Our covers now feature subtle artwork on the front cover. We've placed a subtle rectangular dot grid pattern with a small Northbooks avatar in the top left corner. We think this is a nice design to give our customers a place to label their notebooks if they desire to, and it offers an unobtrusive place to show customers what brand of notebook they are looking at.

We've expanded to offer ruled notebooks and now dot grid notebooks, too. We love the freedom of the dot grid pages to sketch and draw compared to our ruled pages, while still affording users the structure to take notes and write. It's a great hybrid style that's a proven favorite. We hope you like our version of this classic style.

All of our notebooks are now available as individual notebooks, and in packs of 3 and 5. All of our notebooks now come in our pretty awesome envelopes to protect your Northbooks in transit. Singles come in kraft paper envelopes, and the larger packs arrive in tyvek envelopes for added strength.

Last but not least, our 2nd edition Northbooks feature an improved lay-flat binding to help them open more easily and to give you an improved writing experience across pages. This was probably our number one customer request, and we're stoked to deliver a marked improvement to you. We look forward to serving you better as we grow Northbooks in products and features.
